Leipzig

Leipzig, described by the world renowned poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe as a "miniature Paris", is one of the leading cities in central Germany. The city, punctuated with accents of Art Nouveau and turn of the century architecture, is ambitiously working to reinstate itself as a cosmopolitan and academic center, looking back to a 800-year-old tradition of trade fairs and a 600-year-old university. Leipzig's international reputation as a city of music is closely associated with the Gewandhaus Orchestra, the St. Thomas Boys choir, Johann Sebastian Bach and other great composers as Richard Wagner, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Robert Schumann.

Leipzig has much to offer. Find out what's unique and characteristic about Leipzig.

Weather

The weather in early September is usually convenient. For the last 10 years, statistics says that the average daily maximum temperature was around 23°C. At night it cooled down to temperatures between 11°C and 15°C. Within one week, on average there were 2 days with precipitation.
(Well, this is statistics ...)
